The 8th of August marked a memorable day in the life of every fresher at DSBA. The Freshers Day was a day that was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness and loads of masti.
The very purpose of Fresher’s Day was to welcome newcomers in a friendly atmosphere, to encourage their creative impulses so as to boost their confidence and generate a feeling of fraternity among seniors and juniors.
The programme was coordinated by Prof. Crissy Mathew.
Gaurav Mukherjee, Pooja B N and Nikhil Choudhary the MC’s of the day kept the audience resounding with laughter.
Invocation song, lilting music, mind blowing songs and hit dance numbers, a rocking fashion show by the seniors and the fresher’s kept the viewers enthralled.
All the events were artistically and beautifully presented in colours as well as style. Participants were supported and encouraged by everyone as they performed on the stage
The main challenge was the event- Mr. and Ms. Fresher, who were selected, on the basis of their performance in three different rounds. First, it was the Introduction Round followed by a Prop/Talent Round and then the grand finale was the “Question-Answer” Round with the top two contestants vying for Mr. and Ms. Fresher crown .The judges were Prof. Lakshmikant, Dr. Mudita, Prof. Siva Selvi and Prof. Meera Krishnan.
Surya Kiran and D.Moksha from I Sem BCom and BBA won the titles of Mr. and Miss Fresher respectively.
