Orevwa 2016

“Time to say goodbye, but farewell is not forever, only for a little while, till we meet again!”

It was an incredible morning hosted and organised by I & II-year UG students, to bid Orevwa-farewell for III year BCom, BBM and BCA students.  This was to wish them a great future. The outgoing girls followed the dress code of blue/red .The buys looked dapper in black.

Dr [Brig] Sandes, Principal DSBA; Dr Veena K N, Dean DSBA and Prof Nikitha, HOD-UG graced the occasion. All faculty of DSBA were also present.

The event was coordinated by Prof Crissy Mathew. The show was hosted by Sharad Joshi, IV Sem BBM student.

The Dean and HOD-UG spoke and highlighted on the academic accomplishments of the outgoing students and appreciated their contributions and participation in the co-curricular activities conducted in the college. They also extended their warm wishes for success in future and blessed the students.   

The juniors presented very entertaining group dance and solo dance performances which threw fun and added life to the party.Prof Surekha V Nayak rendered a beautiful song and dedicated it to the outgoing students.     

Prof Srilalitha, Prof Sivaselvi and Prof Crissy Mathew, the class coordinators of final year BCom, BCA and BBM courses shared their experiences and also wished their students well for their future and expressed desire that the students reach greater heights and bring laurels to their alma mater.   

The highlight was a video presentation on the outgoing students reminiscing their memories right from the time they entered the institution. In the emotionally surcharged atmosphere, all the student turned nostalgic.   

The Principal felicitated the meritorious students- Lavanya from BBM, Aditya from BCom and Veena from BCA-for their outstanding performance in academics and non-academics and presented them with best outgoing student trophy. Student coordinators of E-week were also given certificates of appreciation.

Dr Sandes addressed the students and emphasized that learning is an ongoing process and not a destination. He also hoped that the students continue to be disciplined, well mannered, punctual, well responsive and always work with integrity. He wished them luck and success in all their future endeavours.   

Prof Nikitha presented mementoes to the UG outgoing students. The emcee invited Aishwarya & Aditya, final year BCom students; Abhinay and Lavanya, final year BBM students and Vishal, final year BCA student to share their experiences in the college .The students thanked the Principal, Dean, faculties; recalled their memorable days at DSBA; became emotional while expressing their feelings; thanked and extended best wishes to their juniors. Some other outgoing students also took the stage and narrated their memorable experiences in the college.       

What followed was an array of sumptuous snacks and the outgoing students had the time of their life by dancing till the wee hours of the evening.
