Ethnic Day Revelry at DSBA

It was the 19th of March 2016.The day marked on the calendar by all at DSBA. - The Annual Ethnic Day celebration. But the twist in the tail was the theme for this year’s Ethnic Day, which was ‘Bridal Wear’. The event was coordinated by Prof Crissy Mathew, Cultural Coordinator DSBA.

During the day one saw a slice of the traditional bridal wear of many states. Depicting the cultures and traditions of their respective states, students came dressed in traditional attires. It was a riot of colours. Girls were dressed in Ghagharas, Lehengas, Angrakha Gowns and traditional sarees with all the finery while the boys wore Sherwanis, Dhothis, kurta, Pyjama. replete with bejewelled turbans.

In the noon, Ms. Dimple Shinde, a student from final year BBM invited the students to take over the ramp class wise. Dr Veena K N –Dean DSBA and the HOD [UG] Prof Nikitha were present. The class representatives spoke briefly about the dresses worn by their classmates. The judges for the event were Prof Surekha V Nayak, Dr Mudita Sinha and Prof Meera Krishnan.
