BCA students visit SAP Labs India

On 23rd March’16 the first, second and third year BCA students visited SAP Labs located at Whitefield. The students left the college premises at 6:30 am and returned to college at 3:30 pm.

The third largest development hub for SAP globally, SAP India in its 15 years of journey has grown from a process driven cost benefit centre to one that provides strategic value to SAP clients globally. They are based out of Bangalore, Gurgaon and Pune.SAP has ranked as one of the ten best workplaces in Asia 2016 recognized by great place of work.

After reaching the location students had breakfast and then they were ushered inside by Mr Chiranjeev Bhrahma, Country Manager- Sap University Alliances India.  He enlightened the students regarding careers, partners, competitors, and position of SAP globally. Students were also given details about what SAP is and what they do. They help in digital economy and are the backbone of some software companies. 74percent of word’s economic transactions are made through SAP systems. They also help their customers in distribution of products.

They are involved in sports too. Software called auction analytics solution helps manage teams well. The year, this software was used by two IPL teams –Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians, the teams won the IPL tournament that  very year .They have helped the German football team too.SAP has worked on the following technologies – javafx,SAPU15,HTML,C++,HANA,HADOOP,FIORI,ABAT,HYBRIS,IoT to name a few.

Being a product based company, the company provides many perks and benefits like laptops, work from home, transport, employee referral programs, medical insurance, relocation policy, training, besides, and there is a large scope of customer interaction and business trips. The students were enriched with ‘SAP’ experience!
