Orientation Program for Tally and CPT Training

The First year students were given orientation for Tally and CPT training on 28th June 2016 in the seminar hall.

The duration of the session was for 1 ½ hrs and it commenced at 10 am. First year BCom and BBA students attended it.

The resource person was Mr Mahipal Jain who serves as Managing Director of K2 Learning Resources (India) Pvt. Ltd. Mr Jain has a rich experience of teaching and believes in unconventional ways of delivering content to students. He has trained more than 1000 students and is famous for teaching theory subjects with a practical approach. He has co-executed many projects like 100 pages to success, Shortcut to IPCC, Careers after +2. He has also authored a book on Mercantile Law for CPT, published by Pearson. He holds a rich entrepreneurial experience prior to joining K2 Learning.

He began by giving a general overview on career opportunities for Management and Commerce students. While stating the importance of CA course he cited the various levels -CPT, ICPP and the Article ship. The whole narrative captivated the students as Mr Jain recounted the difficulty level of Article ship with stories to motivate them. He also mentioned the subjects which form part of the CPT course, marks allocated for the subjects as well as the criteria for passing the course. He further stated that training will be provided for 250 hours during two semesters [after the college hours] to all the interested students. The session ended with some inputs on the CS and ICWA course.

Before the next session, the first year students completed the University documentation formalities.

Meanwhile, the first year BCA students were given induction to the various subjects that they are required to study for graduation by Prof Chaitanya.

The noon session was attended by all the first year students [BCom, BBA& BCA]. The session began at 1:30 pm and ended at 3 pm.The topics covered were Tally and Excel programme.

The facilitators were Mr.Jose KJ and Mr Kiran Kumar.

Mr Jose is a senior Regional Manager of Tally solutions –the creators of Tally. He has 25 years of experience in Business Development, Channel Management and in various others avenues like sales, product launch, customer satisfaction etc. He has also worked as Project Manager with Govt. of India and has placed over 23,000 students across 13 stated in India.

Mr Kiran Kumar is the founder Director of NICT Computer education and is associated with Tally as a training partner and trained students in Tally ERP 9.He is also associated with Microsoft as an official training partner. As a mentor for college students, he has trained them in IT education stream and many are working in reputed multinational companies. He is known as a crowd puller and that could evidently be seen when the first year students listened with rapt attention during his talk.

He gave an outline on the following topics: ERP [Enterprise Resource Planning], Excel and Digital Planning and spoke in depth about the development of Tally ERP 9.

Both the trainers emphasized on the importance, scope, advantages and job opportunities available if one equips oneself with tally and excel.

The third session for the day began at 3 pm after the tally session, wherein all BCA students [Second and third year too] joined in.The session was on Big Data Analytics. The facilitators were Mr Manohar and Mr Raghu Raj from Start-up Curations.Mr Manohar spoke about Big Data &Testing, development of soft wares and the scope for Big Data Analytics and the employment opportunities available if one gets trained. The Eco spatial 30 minutes session after Data Analytics was on GIS and the trainer Mr Raghu Raj gave an insight into GIS and its scope and importance.

With this session the day came to a close.
