Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrations at DSBA

 

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, B R Ambedkar Study Centre at DSBA commemorated his contributions & achievements on 13^th April’17.The programme was coordinated by B R Ambedkar Study Centre, DSBA faculty coordinator Prof Prakasha.

 

At 1:30 pm students and faculty gathered in the foyer .Dr [Brig] Sandes, Principal, DSBA; Dr Veena, Dean, DSBA and Prof Nikitha, HOD, DSBA lit the lamps & offered floral tributes to the photograph of Dr B R Ambedkar.Dr Veena and Dr Sandes addressed the gathering and shared interesting facts about Dr Ambedkar’s life, his education & inspired the students to introspect on his innumerable contributions and what made him a tough person.

 

A Collage /Poster making competition was held between 2 pm and 4 pm on the theme-Dr Ambedkar-his life, his contribution. The competition was open for all. It was an individual /team event. Both the slogans and the text description had to be either in Kannada, Hindi or English .The students formed eight teams of four each and participated wholeheartedly.

Dr Veena KN and Prof Hari Krishna were the judges and they judged the competition on the following criterions: Theme relevance, aesthetics and originality.
