Why Management Education?

On 6^th July’17, the first year BCom, BBA and BCA students were addressed by Mr Samith Srinivasan on “Why Management Education” in the DSATM 4^th Floor Seminar Hall between 10 and 11:30 am.

Mr Srinivasan is a seasoned professional with 13 years experience in sales & marketing with industry exposure spanning from online media to Information Technology. He is currently working as Campaign Manager for Hybrid Cloud Business Unit with IBM Corp. A sports enthusiast with special interest in cricket, he has played professional cricket for 12 years of his life & also wrote blogs on sports.

During the session he covered topics on the importance of goal setting, strategies required for accomplishment of goals & plans that should ensure it is result oriented. Having sharp, clearly defined goals, which students can measure, will allow them to take pride in accomplishing those goals .By setting goals one can improve one’s academic performance, increase one’s motivation to achieve, increase pride and satisfaction in performance & improve one’s self-confidence.

Mr Samith mentioned sports personalities like Rahul Dravid as a role model and narrated life story of Michael Jordan to further emphasise and encourage the students.

His interactive session inspired & motivated the students to look forward to a lot of exciting opportunities in the coming year.
