Seminar on Inbound Marketing - Social Media Market Research and Analytics

II and III year BCA students were privileged to attend a seminar on ‘Inbound Marketing –Social Media Market Research and Analytics’ at DSATM –IV Floor Auditorium on

31 October’17. The seminar was slated between 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

It was conducted by Mr Vignesh Vijayendran, an Educator, Digital Marketer and Entrepreneur.

Mr Vijayendran is a Co-founder of Elanchoice –Digital Marketing & Web Agency, a certified inbound marketer and an author of the blog – He is a passionate Digital Marketer and an Educator, has been helping Start-ups and students to achieve their business and career goals. He has conducted various workshops and meetups for business owners, start-ups, and students. Mr Vignesh has trained more than 1000 students and entrepreneurs on Entrepreneurship and Digital Marketing, and has hands-on experience in starting business from idea to a fully-fledged business. His goal is to teach Digital Marketing for 5000 students in 2017.

His session began with information on ‘Inbound Fundamentals’ -Inbound marketing & its importance and essentials of an Effective Inbound Strategy. He gave an insight into the Inbound Methodology.

Next he delved into ‘Social Media’-Social media overview, identifying the profitable social media, how to create content for social media (80/20) and how to setup a marketing funnel for social media.

Further, he highlighted on Market Research using Google - What people are looking for? And how to leverage the experience of a user based on the research?

He ended the seminar by apprising the students on Analytics - importance of measuring the data, getting to know where the customers are coming from and what they are interested in one’s website.

The students found the seminar very informative and worthwhile.
