MBA Preparation seminar for II Year Students by Career Launcher
DSBA organised an MBA preparation seminar for the II year undergraduate students by Mr. Ananth Acharya on 02 February 2018.The session was from 9:30 to 12:15 pm and was conducted in G-05.
Mr Ananth Acharya is the head Business Development [Karnataka] in CL Educate Ltd.
An Engineer from BMSCE, Bangalore, he started his career as a Software Engineer. Later, he did his Post Graduation from XLRI Jamshedpur and specialized in Marketing and Strategy.
He has worked across various Corporate House, Media & Entertainment, and Fashion. Now he has stepped into Education Industry. He is an avid music lover with passion to compose music and play instruments. He currently is chasing the dream of being an entrepreneur and getting a private pilot license.
Mr. Ananth Acharya held a session on the importance of aptitude and also how to manage time during the aptitude exam. Most importantly to save time, he explained "the art of leaving" which is crucial for the students. He emphasised on the way one selects important questions so as to gain marks, besides taught the students the strategy to attempt right questions to avoid negative marking. He compared various MBA colleges, their fees structure, placements, and hinted at the salary package that companies offer for a fresher. Further, he gave an insight on how to crack CAT to get into one of the best institutions in India- the IIM and mentioned how it could benefit the undergraduates-BCom, BBA and BCA streams. He also gave a gist on the public sector exams.
All the students were enraptured with Mr Acharya’s motivating session as he made each one feel that CAT was a no big deal and even an average student could crack it.
