Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrations at DSBA

127^th birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar was celebrated at DSBA on 16^th April’18 at the college premises. The students and faculty gathered in Room G-05 at 10:30 am. 

The function began with Prof Prakasha-Faculty Co-ordinator, B R Ambedkar Study Centre enlightening the audience about the life and times of the Principal Architect of the Indian Constitution – popularly known as Babasaheb. This was followed by the lighting of the lamps in front of the garlanded portrait of Dr B R Ambedkar by Dr [Brig] Sandes; Principal, DSBA and Prof Nikitha Sreekantha; HOD ,DSBA.Prof Prakasha offered floral tributes to the iconic leader who fought for the oppressed in the country.

Dr Sandes and Prof Nikitha gave an oration to the students; wherein, they emphasized on the role of the youths in the primacy of the situation in the recent times. They encouraged the students to use their voices to bring about positive change in the society, play a constructive role as they are the real drivers of tomorrow's world.Prof Hari Krishna came forward and shared the lesser known facts of Babasaheb.

A JAM session was organised on this occasion .Students chose a language of their choice- Kannada /Hindi and spoke spontaneously for one minute on the life of Babasaheb and his contributions to the country.

At 11:30 am the event ended with Prof Prakasha thanking all profusely for making the event a success.
