A talk on Personality Development

Dr Maruti Ram gave a talk on ‘Personality Development’ on 05 July’18 in the seminar hall between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm for the first year BCom, BBA and BCA students.

The resource person Dr Maruti Ram- Professor, HOD & PhD guide of VTU at DSATM is also a Yoga guru @ Yogashree Yoga Centre, Bangalore. He carries a rich experience of 27 long years of experience from Corporate. In the last six years he has presented research papers in 34 National / International conferences & Seminars. He has also published 18 research papers in international and refereed journals.  Presently he is guiding four PhD Research Scholars. He has chaired many sessions in National & International conferences, Management Fests and delivered keynote addresses and speeches in many Educational Institutes. In the social service front he has been serving as a volunteer and “Yoga guru”. So far he has taken more than “Two Thousand Yoga Classes” in various organizations.  As a Kannada poet he has authored two books.

Dr Maruti Ram introduced the topic & gave an overview of personality & personality development. He stated that personality development is gaining more and more importance because it enables people to create a good impression about themselves on others; it helps them to build and develop relationships, helps in career growth .He suggested students to be confident, improve their communication and social skills, be aware of their body language and be optimistic and a good learner.  He shared some personality development tips. The anecdotes, examples further drove the point home.

The students were extremely motivated by his interactive session and felt his talk was not only interesting and entertaining, but also had a lot of take home value, and was well presented.
