70th Republic Day Celebrated with Patriotic fervour at DSBA

70th Republic Day was celebrated at DSBA with great zeal and patriotic fervour. Each member of the college present at the occasion was soaked in hues of tri colour and their enthusiasm and joy knew no bounds as they celebrated the sovereignty of the nation.

Meanwhile, Rohan S, NCC Cadet, selected to represent Bangalore participated at the 70th Republic Day Parade at Rajpath, New Delhi. And by doing so, he has put our institution on the radar!

At DSBA, NCC cadets led the march from the college portal to the flag mast area. Dr Lakshmikantha -Principal, DSATM; Dr Veena K N – Dean, DSBA; Prof Nikitha Sreekantha- HOD, DSBA; Faculty, Administrative staff, NCC cadets, NSS Volunteers, Security and housekeeping staff were on the march. Prof Nagaraju, Associated NCC officer coordinated the function along with Junior Commissioned Officer Balwinder Singh and Havaldar Patil from 2 KAR Bn NCC.

All gathered at the flag pole stand and Dr Lakshmikantha unfurled the national flag. This was accompanied by the rendition of National Anthem by all imbued with patriotic feeling. Dr Lakshmikantha addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of the Constitution and its unique features such as Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic and Republic enshrined in the preamble of the constitution and concluded with a message to help create a great nation through collective efforts from all individuals. Dr Veena, in her address, urged everyone to uphold the honour, integrity, dignity and uniqueness of our nation, stand united and realize one’s role to be a responsible citizen.
