Digital Marketing Program for II Year BCom B Students

Digital Marketing Certification Program was conducted by NICT for the II-year BCom ‘B’ section students from 23rd Jan’19 to 31st Jan’19 in the computer Lab during the college hours.

At NICT, they believe that training in the latest computer technologies combined with life-long learning are the essential ingredients for building a successful career in the IT Industry. “Practice makes a man perfect”.! A belief that is unanimously shared at NICT. This was quite evident from the fact that more computer time was planned than theory, which is a popular concept in modern education.

The facilitator for the program was Mr Supreeth Garla- Executive Director of NICT Computer Education Pvt Ltd. A trainer by passion, he moved away from the prestigious post as Managing Director of Bliss Chocolates Pvt Ltd, and entered into the training world. Ever since, he has had opportunity to train more than 1500 MBA students, marketing professionals, freelancers, business owners on Digital Marketing, SEO, Google AdWords, Email Marketing, Google Analysis many more. He has more than 500 hours of experience in training on Digital Marketing topics and also placed many students & professionals’ in jobs in the Digital Marketing field.

He started the session with an ice breaker so that he could get to know the students well. On the first day, he gave an introduction to the course contents of the program and that included Face book marketing, Twitter marketing, Content marketing, YouTube marketing, Google ad words, Display marketing, Shopping Ads, Local SEO, Amazon Travied E-commerce Specialist course followed by an exam.

On the second- and third-day students learned to set up their business under Google using Google AdWords. On the fourth day students were taught to promote their business on Facebook using Facebook ads as well. On the fifth day students created a channel on YouTube. They were also taught how one uploads videos and the way one advertises on YouTube. Various tricks and tips were also shared by Mr Supreeth in order to make videos look good and creative. On the sixth day students learned to create a website on their own with no coding language. On the seventh day students were ready to sell products on Amazon!

On the final day a test was conducted on the ‘Fundamental of Google Ads’. The clearly structured and well organised information and knowledgeable facilitator encouraged the students in giving a thoughtful and constructive feedback.
