The alumni interaction with the current first year students took place on 13th July 2019.One session was in the forenoon between 11:30 am and 12:45 pm and the second session was conducted post lunch between 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the IV Floor B Block hall.

The alumni once again got a chance to reconnect with their alma mater. Every alumnus had experience being a student and can be an effective role model.

Prof Nikitha Sreekantha -HOD introduced Mr Pranav-the speaker of the forenoon session to the first-year students. Mr. Pranav, an alumnus of batch 2014-2017, is a Career Counsellor & Choreographer. Presently, he is studying MBA from Jain [to be deemed] University.          

In his talk, Pranav mentioned that the students must have sense of opportunities available and take advantage of the resources, develop their career paths, deal with challenges and develop both personal and professional lives. He assisted them in strengthening confidence, motivation and inculcated the right culture that is required of the new students.

Prof Meera Seshanna thanked Mr Pranav for his heartening talk.             

Post- lunch session was taken over completely by the alumni from batch 2013-2016.

Mr Aditya R, Operations Manager/Coordinator at Astute Advisors India; Ms Lavanya Krishna, HR Coordinator/HR Operations at Goldman Sachs; Ms Vyjayanthi Satish, Senior Digital Operations at Cognizant; Ms Sphurti Kulkarni, works at HDFC Bank; Mr Taha Paliwala and Mr Rushab Jain run their own businesses. 

All of them took turns and shared a brief explanation about their current endeavours, enriching experiences, and life after college. The alumni mentors provided career guidance, encouragement about the academic programs, advised about how to plan a secure future, emphasized on the importance of soft skills and development of self-discipline and character.  The students cleared their doubts and got an insight on how to review their career paths and fine tune their career goals.

Prof Crissy Mathew thanked the alumni for their heart-warming, encouraging interactive session.   

The guidance by the alumni mentors was truly appreciated by the first -year students and they now, look forward to many more such sessions!
