During the Bridge Programme, Collage Activity was conducted for First Year Students. New and initially reserved students came together in a group and displayed their competitive team spirit and leadership skills during the activity. The collage activity was coordinated by Prof Meera Krishnan.
On 10th July 2019, at 1:30 pm, rules and procedure to do the collage were stated to the group of students. The theme of the collage was ‘Nature & Me’. The rules stated were as follows-It was mandatory for all students to participate in collage making as well as presentation. The collage had to be displayed on a chart/ handmade paper. No scissors /paper cutter was permitted. Hence, pictures, images etc could be severed from the newspapers, magazines or any other material using hands. No stationery like pens/sketch pens etc could be used for writing. Therefore, students could use the printed material in the newspaper to state their messages.
Enthusiastic group of students brought their collage material on 11th July 2019 and made their collages at the IV Floor hall from 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm. Prof Meera Krishnan was present at the venue to answer the queries and ensure that the students followed the rules and regulations while making their collages.
The collage presentation was slated for 12th July 2019 from 10:30 am to 12: 30 pm in rooms G-04 & G-05. Some groups of students presented their charts and explained the theme with verbal presentations while others with help of captivating role plays. Participants were judged on the following parameters-Presentation, Conformity to the theme and Creativity.
