CIL Training on Team work & Interpersonal Skills

Centre for Innovation and Leadership [CIL] conducted one-day training on Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills for III Sem BCom Á’ and ‘B’Section, BBA and BCA students in the lecture rooms G-07, G-05 and G-13 respectively. 

On 22nd July 2019, the trainers were Ms Sonesh Bharadwaj for BCA students and Ms Jyothsna D’souza for III Sem BBA students. On 23rd July 2019, the trainers were Ms Sonesh for III Sem BCom Á’ and Ms Jyothsna D’souza for III Sem BCom ‘B’ Section students. 

Ms Sonesh B is a Freelance Behavioral Trainer since 2011.Her professional academia includes B.E in Electronics & Communication and Diploma in Electronics & Communications. She has over 7 years of work experience and industrial exposure; in addition, she has technical experience and attended many training programs and handled a number of projects. Ms Sonesh has delivered training programs in Effective Communication Skills, Time Management, Customer Service Excellence, Problem Solving Skills and Train the Trainer to well-known clientele. 

Ms Jyothsna D’souza has a BTech degree and is working as a soft skill trainer with Seventh Sense People Development Solutions Pvt Ltd. She has about 3 ½ years of work experience. Her core competencies include Excellent verbal communication and written communication skills, Strong evaluative assessment and training skills and Proven ability to build and to maintain her focus as a trainer. 

The session commenced with a formal introduction followed by the students coming on to the dais to introduce themselves and stating their reasons for taking up their respective programs and mentioning their future goals and what the expectations were from the day’s session. 

The topics of the session was taught by way of interactive activities. Group activities were conducted such as-a Project case study, drawing a logo for a business idea, a game ‘Simon Says’ and Role Play on a social message.

 The activities taught the students to understand the working environment in an organisation, non-verbal communication, team work, negotiation abilities, being creative, listening skills, observation and concentration, overcoming inhibitions, presentation skills and importance of moral ethics.

The session ended with the students sharing their feedback with the trainer. The trainers in turn suggested firstly that each one should have a smile on their face at all times and also shared some tips for self- improvement!

The learning activities were a great hands-on way, such that there were many lessons the students picked up without realizing and discovered them much later!
