NSS Organises Competitions for G. H. P. S. Students

NSS Volunteers of Dayananda Sagar Business Academy in continuation with their objective of imparting education, values and motivating government school students conducted events on 22 October 2019 at Government Higher Primary school, Thataguni as a part of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations. Various competitions like drawing, colouring, crosswords, pick and speak, mapping, collage were organized for the students of 1^st to 10^th grade. The school students participated with zeal and enjoyed a lot. The events were designed in such a way that the students learn something new and enhance their creativity skills.

NSS volunteers were guided by Prof Kasthuri Gopal, NSS Program Officer and Prof Rajani D K. 

20 enthusiastic NSS volunteers reached the venue at 1 pm to conduct the events for the government school students. They took the responsibility of each class in pairs and conducted the event. It began with an introduction session after which the rules of the events were explained. There were time limits set for each contest. The volunteers adhered to it and encouraged students to complete their tasks before time. Students showcased their talents like singing dancing and the event wound up by 4.30 pm.

The volunteers received appreciation from the students, teachers and the principal of the school for their efforts as the events conducted were successful. 

They also encouraged the volunteers to conduct more such events in the future.
