Plant trees. They give us two of the most crucial elements for our survival: oxygen and books  -  Whitney Brown

This year our NSS unit witnessed many eager students wanting to join us in the tree plantation programme organised by The Times of India in the Bangalore University Campus on 2nd February 2020.Their response was overwhelming. We were guided by the NSS Program Officer Prof.Kasthuri Gopal and Prof. Rajini

Morning walkers and joggers at Bangalore University’s Jnana Bharathi campus were astonished on Sunday. Hundreds of volunteers comprising of youngsters from schools and colleges , members of NGO’s and other organisations, thronged at the four acre vacant space behind the Sports authority of India campus, to plant varied saplings.

This was part of the Hero TOI Green Drive exercise.

The Hero TOI Green Drive began in Delhi, and it has improved the greenery quotients of cities across the country. This is the first time that the drive was held in Bengaluru.
