Nitish Kumar DSBA NCC Cadet Grabs the Headlines

It is a matter of immense pride to the institution that after last years glory-DSBAs SUO Rohan Satish representing Bengaluru at the 70th Republic Day, yet again, this year DSBAs NCC Cadet Nitish Kumar was selected to represent 2 KAR Bn NCC at the 71st Republic Day at Rajpath, New Delhi on 26th Jan 2020.

It is no less a dream for any NCC Cadet to be part of Republic Day Parade at Rajpath at New Delhi and only a few can realise that dream!   

Cadet Nitish Kumar had gone through rigorous selection process for RDC before he could embark on the train journey to New Delhi on 26th November 2019.107 cadets from Karnataka & Goa Directorate had participated in the RDC.

Cadet Nitish Kumar was one of the most active cadets during the camp. The drill and training for the Republic Day March Past and rehearsals for cultural activities went on for about one and half months prior to the Republic Day function. It also included being part of the contingent to meet with the Honourable President and Prime Minister of India and number of dignitaries at the High Tea Party. Karnataka & Goa NCC Directorate were the Runners-Up in the overall performance

RDC event culminated with a meeting of the NCC Cadets with the Governor and Chief Minister of Karnataka after their return from New Delhi on 31st Jan 2020.
