On 26th October 2021, the BCA Department organized an informative and interactive seminar on “Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning” for the students of first year BCA. The seminar was held by Dr. Sandhya N, HOD of AI/ML in Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management. She holds an experience of 17 years of teaching with 11 years of research focus.

In the seminar, she gave a brief description of the concept of Artificial Intelligence with practical examples, which gave a better understanding for the students. Following the introduction, she explained the major differences between AI and ML. The applications of this field was also explained to the students to know the importance of AI/ML. She talked about the skills and knowledge required for students to opt AI/ML. Examples like CCTV camera, robots, Alexa, autonomous vehicles etc were explained in simple terms to comprehend the concepts. She made sure to lay a basic foundation on this field with easy practical examples that are understood by the students.

 

The students interacted very well and got their doubts cleared in detail. It was indeed a great informative seminar by the BCA department.
