The new batch of undergraduate programmes in BBA, BCA, B. Com was inaugurated at DSBA on October 25, 2021 in the presence of our Principal Dr. Veena K.N, Students, parents / guardians of the prospective first year has attended. The students of second B.Com Ms. Chaya and Ms. Druthi Prasad welcomed the guests by Invocation Dance
Dr, Krishnamurthy, Research Professor of DSU was the Chief Guest. Ms. Natasha Sagar, Joint secretory of DSI and Dr. Ravishankar, the Principal of DSATM was the Guest of Honours. Prof. Crissy Mathew, Cordinator-B.Com and BBA program has given Welcome Address.
Light is a pretty universal symbol of truth, knowledge, and understanding. It acts as a guide, keeping us from stumbling in the dark. We have done Lighting the Lamp ceremony with the Guests.
An introductory DSI video providing insights and summarizing aspects was shown to the audience.
Dr. Krishnamurthy, in his address welcomed each new student into the DSI family. He has given inspirational speech, which raised the spirits of the audience and enthused them.
Ms. Natasha Sagar, Joint secretory of DSI had given her honorary remarks to the students by sharing her student life experience.
Dr. Ravi Shankar, Principal of DSATM had shared his valuable insights to the audience.
Dr Veena K N, The Principal of DSBA gave an overview to the following-academic regarding program structure, certification, training and value-added programs, Entrepreneurship development cell, International conferences, Global captivation program and Extension activities-NCC & NSS.
Dr. N.R Solomon Jebaraj, Coordinator- BCA program proposed Vote of thanks and Prof. Sanjiv mastered the ceremony.
Afternoon from 1:30 PM onwards introduction session with BCA coordinator Dr. N.R Solomon Jebaraj and class teachers Prof. Vasudevarao M. after introductory session with students, Prof. Vasudevarao took students to campus tour and explained departments like Library, Clinic, Activity center, Rain water harvesting, STP centre, food court, Hostels, etc.
On 26th October 2021, An orientation for first year students has given from 3 different departments; i.e from Librarian Mr. Rudresh, by Accounts department staff Mr. Gurumurthy, and by Clinic in charge staff Ms. Radha had an interaction with the students.
From 11;00 am onwards Orientation on Tally, Microsoft Excel, PHP, MySQL and other add on Course tools for BCA students has delivered by Mr. Kiran Kumar, Director- NICT Computer Education.
On 26th October 2021, During the afternoon session for first year BCA students Orientation program on Artificial intelligence & Machine Learning by Dr. Sandhya, HOD, AI and ML Department, DSATM.
From 2:30 PM Class teacher Prof. Vasudevarao conducted an Ice- Breaking session to the first-year students, and conducted two team building games.
On 27th October 2021 at 9.30am DSBA organized an orientation on various clubs to the students of first year, and explained the advantages of participating in the events organized by the clubs. Club coordinators of Sports, Cultural, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Entrepreneur Development Clubs and Coordinators of NSS and NCC units had shared an overview of the club events and membership policy matters, etc.
From 11;00 am Language department faculties had an interaction and took confirmation on languages which they are going to study. Later Psychometric and IT Test has conducted to students of 1st BCA.
From 1:30 Pm onwards class teacher Prof. Vasudevarao M. has explained all the courses which they are going to study in BCA Program.
Regular Classes for BCA (2021-2024 Batch) Commenced from 28/10/2021 Thursday.
