Our college conducted “pre – placement training” on 23-11-2021.

Areas covered in the session are:

• Resume writing
• Group discussion
• Personal interviews etiquettes and attitude

Mr. Prem Raj was our trainer for the day, and he conducted all the activities, firstly the first session was on resume writing. He thought us, meaning of resume, importance of writing a resume, and forms of resume and it made us understand that ‘writing a resume is to showcase our experience and skills in a standardized format’. After briefing about how to write a resume, then he issued us a hard copy of resume and made us to write a resume on our own and gives a clear picture on how we should be smart enough to present our resume in a unique way and represent ourselves in this competitive world.

Second session was on ‘GROUP DISSCUSSION’.

The trainer briefed about the importance of group discussion and the skills need to be faced in group discussion. The dskills are leadership, body language, behaviour, team work and listening skills, after that he divided the class into 3 groups each group consisting of 8 members, he gave us a topic to be discussed, the topic were

• Hardwork vs smartwork
• Ethics vs profit
• E-learning vs traditional learning

Group discussion was very interesting, the students actively participated and it was an interactive activity. At last we came to know about how actual group discussion goes on and the trainer alloted marks based on our performance.

Third session was on Personal interview.

The trainer explained us to face an interview and the skills needed to face an interview, then the mentor conducted mock interview for each and every student. He asked various problem solving questions related to some situations, questions like why should I hire you ?, where would you like to see yourself in the interview is done, he gave review on our performance in interview and found out some of the weakness in us and gave some suggestion to work it on.

“Interview is not a test of our knowledge, but the ability to use it at the right time”. This was the most staggering session thought by our trainer to face personal interviews.

Learning outcome

In this pre – placement training session, we have learnt many things the session has made every student to be focused and determined towards their career, and also made everyone to have a positive hopes in them to crack any kind of hurdles in enhancing their skills in a best manner.

Overall the training was skilled and virtuous, this was an indeed program which each and every students must forego before stepping into any kind of job. The training has benefited all of us and also super fun with good learning.
