On 27th of November 2021, The Cultural Club had organized an Inter Class Cultural Competition where a number of events were held. The stage was elegantly adorned with colourful block lettering spelling out "SYMPHONY 2021."

The event commenced at 10:30 A.M where the first year BBA students Mr Shreyas and Miss Shreya welcomed the gathering and handed over the first event to Mr Koustub and Miss Geetangali form BCOM 2nd year. They started off with the Solo singing competition. There were amazing performances of all forms of music and languages. The judges for this round were Dr. Veena KN , Principal of DSBA and Prof Madhuri Patil. The judging criteria for this event were vocal quality, music performance, stage performance and rhythmic interpretation. Each criterion received 5 points, for a total of 20 points. Students performed quite well. We requested the judges to sing a song at the end of event one, which was overpowering and awe-inspiring. Tejaswini R from BBA 1st year and Sarah CH from BCA final year were the event's winners. Monica. C of BCOM 1ST year came in second and Provawati of BBA 1ST year came in third.

The second event was the Talent Hunt, began at 11:30 a.m. Mr Shreyas and Miss Shreya, students of first year of BBA, and hosted the competition. The contestants had amazing and awe-inspiring talents to display. Mandal art, impersonation, paintings, solving the Rubix cube the fastest, face painting, crocheting, playing various instruments like tabala, flute and other talents were showcased. The judges for this event were Prof. Crissy Mathew , Prof. Shilpa Pawar and Mr Chetan . Because the talents were diverse and unique, the grading criteria were not specifically stated, but they were combined to 20 points. Overall, it was a unique experience, and it was fascinating to learn about the diverse abilities of other individuals. Varun from BCA 1st year took first place for playing the flute in this competition. Naveeda Begum of BCOM 1st year and Prurhvi of BCOM 2nd year tied for second place in mono acting, Nishanth of BBA 2nd year in tabala playing, and Shashank of BCOM 2nd year in mime won the 3rd place. Another talent was judged, and the winners were Hemasundar of BCA 1st year backed first place and Lohith of BCA 1st year backed second place in the fastest rubex cube solving competition.

The third event was the solo dance, group dance and pick and dance. The same BBA first-year students hosted this event as well. There were different forms of dance i.e. western, classical, hip hop, contemporary and lavani. The dances were beautifully performed to a variety of musical styles. A new concept of pick and dance was conducted, where a participant had to pick a random song from the chits and perform on spot for a minute. It was whole new experience for all the participants. The judges for this event were Prof. Crissy Mathew, Prof. Shilpa Pawar and Mr Chetan. The judging criteria for solo and group dance were body language, choreography, footwork and facial expression. For pick and dance there was only one change in the criteria instead of choreography, clarity and impact was added. Each criterion received 5 points, for a total of 20 points. Dance is the hidden language of soul. The entire event was presented in a stunning manner. Muskan, a second-year BBA student, took first place in solo dancing. Sharanya, a first-year BCA student, and Dhruthi, a second-year BCOM student, tied for second place. Harshitha, a first-year BCOM student, and Riya, a first-year BBA student, tied for third place. Shreeja and Priyanka of BCOM 2nd year were the group dance winners. Dhruthi of BCOM 2nd year backed first place, Muskan of BBA 2nd year backed second place, and Shreyas of BBA1st year backed third place in the pick and dance competition.

The last event of the day was rangoli and mehandi, which took place in the first floor after lunch. The time limit was set at half an hour. Participants in the rangoli competition used a variety of materials such as coloured salt, colour powders, leaves, diyas, and other eye-catching elements. They drew a variety of gorgeous and unique designs. On the other hand, there was a mehandi competition in which contestants drew Arabic and bridal designs. The mehandi designs were stunning and eye-catching. The judges were the office staff Ms Sandhya and Ms Rajeshwari. The judging criteria for rangoli were design, creativity, colour combination and neatness. The same rules apply to mehandi, with the exception that instead of colour combinations, clarity was added to the criteria. The judges for this event were Prof. Arpitha and Prof. Hemavathi. The entrants shown incredible talent and created stunning designs. Rakshitha and Lahari of the BCOM final year backed the first place winner, whereas Sharanya, Sathya, and Poornima of the BCOM first year backed the second place in rangoli competition. Noor Halima of BCOM 1st year took first place, and Sharnaya of BCOM final year took second place in the mehandi competition.

With the help of a number of volunteers from the cultural committee, the entire event was well-organized. It was a fantastic opportunity for all of the students to demonstrate their abilities and gain new experiences. The celebration came to a close with a vote of thanks, in which we expressed our gratitude for the incredible faculty support, without which the event would not have been possible.
