A five days Faculty development programme was successfully conducted by the Dayananda Sagar Business Academy, from 04^th JAN 2021 to 08^th JAN 2021. The FDP programme received an overwhelming response with 09 participants from outside DSBA and 27 from DSBA. All lectures has been held online through Digital Learning Mode using zoom Webinar Meeting Platform.

Date: 04^th JAN 2021 (First Day)

Inaugural Session

The programme was inaugurated in the morning through Zoom Webinar  : 04^th JAN 2021 by hands of Dr. (Brig) Sandes, Principal, DSBA, Dr. Veena K N, Dean, DSBA and Mr. Kiran Kumar, Director, NICT.

 

In welcome speech, Dr. (Brig) Sandes Principal shared his views with the faculty participants that if faculty wants to develop themselves and their students, then attending such faculty development programmes would enhance their skills of teaching concepts practically. Sir has further shared that it helps to improve the performance of faculty in teaching and highlighted the importance and objectives of organizing faculty development programme. He briefed the participants about the subjects chosen for the FDP and highlighted the reasons and importance of the same.

Dr. Solomon jebaraj N has delivered the content of 5 day FDP.

 

In the second session, resource person Mr. Ganesh Vancheeswaran Consultants and senior corporate professional started his discussion with Session on Branding.

He shared  very important aspect to be considered while Branding. He highlighted the importance learning and gave idea about our logo, brand colours, visuals, brand voice, ideal client, brand values etc. He shared his knowledge with participants about own personal branding , brand identity, etc. Afternoon session resource person Mr. Ganesh Vancheeswaran has assign Activities on Branding,  It helped subject fully understand and created interest among the participant.

 

Date: 05^th  JAN 2021 (Second Day)

On the second day first session Mr. Madhusudan Mukerjee Business Head Crampete Pte Ltd. started his discussion on Web Technologies, Sir has given inputs about effective web design, Web design issues including Browser, Bandwidth and Cache, Display resolution, Look and Feel of the Website, Introduction on website development, Layers of Full Stack, Traditional Full Stack,  Modern Full Stack, Full Stack Developer vs Full Stack Designer, etc.

In the second session, resource person Mr. Dinesh Pradeep Thondaman - Web Programmer and Application  Developer has delivered a session on Architecture of a website, Different technologies in making the website, Web Development Introduction, History of HTML, HTML Tag vs. Element, HTML Attributes, HTML Basic Tags, HTML Formatting Tags, HTML Color Coding. Unordered Lists, Ordered Lists, etc.

 

Date: 06^th  JAN 2021 (Third Day)

 

On the third day Mr. Dinesh Pradeep Thondaman has extended the concepts of Web Programming: Introduction to CSS, Syntax and selectors, Creating containers, Basic properties, Creating a template using CSS features, Introduction on responsive templates, Types of screen sizes, Media query, Making templates responsive using media query,  Creating an account in github, etc.

 

In the second session, resource person Mr.  Navaneetha Krishnan Nataraj Software Architect @ Siemens Solutions. He gave idea about design process, UI, UX, Mixed reality, AI based tech, etc.

 

Date: 07^th  JAN 2021 (Fourth Day)

 

In the first session, resource person Mr. Dinesh Pradeep Thondaman - has delivered a session on MAKING WEBPAGE LIVE and associated topics : Creating a GitHub account, Prepare a sample template to host on GitHub, Steps to upload in GitHub, Use this template in resume to add value, Make the webpage live for everyone, etc.

 

In the second session, resource person Mr. Supreeth Garla - COO & Director of NICT Computer Education Pvt Ltd has delivered a session on DIGITAL MARKETING, has given lot of inputs on Advanced digital marketing, Ways to make your business updated, SEO, Certifications for digital marketing, Skills required for digital marketing, Different social media explanations, Different social media platforms, etc.

 

Date: 08^th  JAN 2021 (Fifth Day)

 

In the first session, resource person Mr. K. Gopinathan -Retired as Chief News Photographer of The Hindu has delivered a session on Photography and Web content development, Sir has given lot of inputs on how to know the fundamentals of photography, photography is recording the light, study the shadows, how focal length affect perspective, framing and composition techniques, using grids, watch out for lens flare, editing pictures, etc.

In the second session, resource person Mrs. Parul Agrawal - Working with Organization's  BBC, Quint, has delivered a session on Web Content Development, madam has given lot of inputs related to Web content is the information, web content pillars, Web content eco system, etc.

This led to the end of the series of lectures in the five days programme.

During the valedictory programme :

Dr. Solomon jebaraj N. submitted the Report on 5 Days FDP

Thereafter Dr. (Brig) Sandes, gave concluding remarks on 5 Days FDP

Prof. Vasudevarao  M. proposed vote of thanks for the program.

 

The following feedback was received from the participants:

90% of the participants felt that the delivery and presentation of the resource person was good. The participants were of the opinion that the FDP brought practical knowledge of the subject in them and Participants felt that such FDP should be arranged regularly.
