A special Yoga Programme was organised by Dayananda Sagar Business Academy, for all 60 students of BCA – I Semester, (Batch 2021-24) form 03rd January 2022 to 06th January 2022. The session was held in our seminar hall 4th Floor, B-Block.

 

As part on NEP syllabus: Health & Willingness course it is mandatory to conduct Yoga workshop for all students of first year BCA. Dr. Maruthiram the Yoga guru who has trained

various types of Asanas, Pranayam and meditation. on all 4 days from morning 10:00 am to evening 4:00 Pm, Yoga guru was gentle and friendly trainer.

On Day-1 morning yoga teacher demonstrated some simple and beginners asanas and afternoon theory session. All the students participated eagerly, from Day -2 to Day -4 various asanas has demonstrated, students has participated with great enthusiasm.

All the four days Class teacher Prof. Vasudevarao M. has monitored the Yoga sessions and took attendance for every session. 

Aims and objectives of Yoga education are:


1) To enable the student to have good health.
2) To practice mental hygiene.
3) To possess emotional stability.
4) To integrate moral values.
5) To attain higher level of consciousness.

 

Expected Outcomes

 

After a training on yoga, students are expected to:

  • Improve concentration and focus on studies
  • Coordinate thoughts and actions
  • Aspire for a harmonious life filled with mental peace, health and hygiene
  • Demonstrate appreciable social, cultural and spiritual qualities
  • Augment their spirit to uphold moral values in life
  • Manage their human resources (time, energy etc) efficiently
  • Self motivate to become yoga teachers/ trainers
  • Expand their thresholds of tolerance and understanding
