REPORT ON THE PHP/MySQL TRAINING

The BCA department of Dayananda Sagar Business Academy conducted a six-day training workshop for the students of 4^th and 6^th semester BCA students in collaboration with NICT. The trainers of NICT engaged the students for the PHP and MySQL training with good guidance. On 12^th May, 2022, the trainers of NICT was welcomed by our respected Principal, Dr Veena K N and the HOD of the BCA department, Dr Solomon Jebaraj. After introducing the trainers, the session began smoothly.

 

On the first day of the workshop, the trainers helped the students install the softwares into their PC’s with great patience and ease. The trainer that conducted the workshop was Mr Girish. He explained the concepts with examples and allowed the students to practise on their PC’s. He used innumerable examples to teach the students how to code in PHP. The workshop covered the basics of PHP like the structure of PHP program, variables, strings, constants, functions, classes and objects. The students were also given the training on the fundamentals of MySQL like creating databases and tables, inserting values, deleting records, sorting records and modifying the values.  Finally, the students were taught to integrate PHP and MySQL at the last day of the workshop. A test was also provided to evaluate how much the students learnt during the entire workshop.

 

This workshop was very helpful to the students in terms of their academics and career. Students can build their own projects with ease for their syllabus. This training is an added bonus to the resumes of the students of BCA.
