Dayananda Sagar Business Academy presented the auspicious 6th International Conference, Global Chaos: Emergence of New Cosmos on 27th & 28th May, 2022 in partnership with Taylor’s University, Department of Hospitality Tourism and Events, Malaysia, tech partnership NICT, Bangalore and EduTech partnership learnbizsimulations.com, India.  Fast changing market and societal expectations puts stress on the organizations and only those which are agile, innovative and make appropriate approaches in all functional areas of business can survive and sustain. The field of education is no exception either.  The educational institutions have also adapted themselves by resorting to the hybrid modes of teaching.

The virtual 6th International Conference was conducted wherein, a platform was provided for scholars and thought leaders across academia and organizations to debate, discuss and deliberate upon the descriptive characteristics.

Prof Sanjeev C and Prof Renuka B were the emcees of the event. The Chief Guest was Mr. Arjun Ranga, MD, Cycle pure Agarbati and partner NR Group. 

The conference began on an auspicious note with an invocation song. 

It was followed by a welcome address by the Conference Chair and Principal, DSBA, Dr. Veena K N. She addressed the gathering and introduced to all the speakers of the day as well as briefed about the need in facing the challenges of COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Arjun Ranga, MD, Cycle pure Agarbati and partner NR Group. In his keynote address he emphasized on the difficulties due to the pandemic and how it affected his company. He talked about the various improvements done in his company to manage the challenges faced by the company. Following to that, he discussed about the future of the post-pandemic world and the emerging technologies like cloud computing, blockchain and IoT. He explained about the post-COVID trends of Indian entrepreneurs.

 The plenary session had the following speakers:

The plenary session of the International Conference began with the first speaker, Dr. Kishore Kumar. He gave an excellent session about the learnings from the pandemic and leadership. He discussed about leadership in the healthcare industry. He talked about the growth in innovations from the year 1785 to 2020. Later, Question and Answer session took place for the faculties and students to ask their queries.

The second speaker for the day was Dr. Ravindra Gudi. He gave an enlightening session on trends in chemical engineering. He gave a brief look into 3D gamification, virtual reality. He motivated the audience to have creative and critical thinking.

The next speaker for the day was Dr. Kaandappan Subramanian, associate professor from Taylor’s University. He mostly talked about digitization which is a culmination of innovation and smart technology. He gave a basic understanding of innovation and types of innovation. He talked about technological, service and sustainable innovation too.

After a short tea break, Dr. Rahul Dhige was welcomed to the platform. He gave a session on the challenging times in supply chain management. He discussed about the new models in supply chain management in the post pandemic era.

Later, Dr. Ruth Sabina Francis addressed the gathering with ‘The Organizational Leadership and the Digitalized Hospitality and Tourism Industry”.

Dr. Ambika Singam talked about empowering smart E-learning amongst law students.

Finally, Mr Ganesh S, gave an excellent session on Education 5.0, Emergence of new Cosmos-Technology and Education.

Dr. Veena K N, Principal, DSBA thanked all the dignitaries and the speakers who had shared their inputs on the conference theme.

Post lunch, participants proceeded to the allocated virtual rooms for their respective paper presentations.

The response from the academic community has been enthusiastic. We have received research papers on various sub themes of the conference from various authors. Each paper has been carefully reviewed by at least two reviewers to ensure research quality. These research papers have contributed towards opening up our minds to this evolving concept and understanding the intricacies of information, knowledge and wisdom. I am grateful to all the contributors who have presented their valuable work to the research community.

The success of the conference is a result of the efforts of the contributors and presenters who have shared with us their innovative thoughts and opinions about the conference theme. My deep appreciation goes to the reviewers for their time and professional opinions on the submissions.

The paper presentations took place in Three different tracks with various themes on the both the days of conference. The overall coordination of these tracks was taken care by Prof. Nazeer Pasha.

Track 1- Marketing and Entrepreneurship

The session was chaired by Dr. Rizwana, presently working in the Department of Management Studies at MSRIT College, Bangalore. 7 papers were presented in this track and the track was moderated by Prof. Roopa Shree and Prof Ram Kishore on day1 and by Prof. Rajini and Prof. Madhuri patil on day2.

Track 2 -Information Technology and Human Resources

The session was chaired by Ms. Padma. She is a Research Scholar in the Department of Studies in Business Administration at IIM Bangalore. 4 papers were presented in this track and it was moderated by Prof Renuka and Prof. Hemavathi, prof. Srilalitha and Prof. Shazia Begum

Track 3 Finance and Education

The session was chaired by Dr. Praveen Kumar Sinha, working as an Associate Professor in Department of Management Studies, DSATM, Bangalore-82. 6 papers were presented in this track and it was moderated by Prof. Shilpa and Akshaya on day1 and Prof. Lakshmikantha and Prof. Arpitha on day2.
