SC/ST Cell was set up in DSBA during 2017, with the aim of bringing the students belongs to SC/ST community at par with the main stream student body. The cell is also a platform where SC/ST students can discuss their problems, regarding academic and non- academic matters. The cell will council and support SC/ST student applicants during admissions.
Committee often meets the students and faculties belong to SC/ST communities, to understand their problem and take necessary action and/or render them necessary advice/help to resolve the matter. Creating awareness among the SC/ST students regarding the various Government and Non- Government scholarship schemes is one of the major responsibilities of the cell. The cell also Counsels the students to help them overcome any complex related to interaction with fellow students and personal grooming, etc.
The OBC cell of the college was established in 2017 with the purpose of empowering the OBC communities in the region. The college takes special interest in facilitating financial support to students from these communities from government agencies and other sources. They are also encouraged to enrol for career orientation programs, which would empower and equip them with the necessary skills to choose a career option.
The Cell will take such follow up measures for achieving the objectives and targets laid down for the purpose by the Government of India and the UGC. It will council and guide OBC students about various issues and help them to manage academic activities.
Minority cell of Dayananda Sagar Business Academy was established in 2017 with the purpose of empowering the minority communities in the college. College has been very much keen to provide services to the educational and cultural needs of the Minority community along with other caste, creed and Nationality. The Minority Cell basically helps minority community students including Christian, Muslim, Jain, Buddhists etc. for their academic development.
The Cell is committed to provide assistance to the minority students along with Scheduled / Scheduled Tribe students through counselling, personality development, development of communication skill, remedial coaching, tutorial classes, and preparatory classes for professional and employment purposes, etc. The Cell is actively engaged in coordinating and resolves the problems in the matter of conduct of remedial coaching and other measures with a view to see that the education system succeeds in bringing to a level quantitatively as well as qualitatively indistinguishable from the level of the rest of the society. The Cell organize awareness sessions on several educational Schemes.
Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and careers. In order to eradicate it, Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 887 of 2009, passed the judgement wherein guidelines were issued for setting up of a Central Crisis Hotline and Anti-Ragging database. In pursuance of this social cause as per the law and to eradicate this evil act among student peers, DSBA has set up an anti-ragging cell June 2014.
Ragging is strictly banned in the colleges of Dayananda Sagar Institutions, Bangalore. Strict action will be taken against anybody found indulging in ragging or support ragging activities.
Ragging is neither a means of familiarization, nor an introduction with fresher's, but a form of Psychopathic behavior. Ragging is a violation of Human Rights and a heinous crime, which is heavily punishable under law.
Students Grievance Redressal Cell in DSBA have been created to address the diverse socio-economic handicaps and geographic backgrounds of the heterogeneous population of students coming to our Institution vis-a-vis equity of access and placement opportunities through availability of appropriate institutional support information. Linguistic differences and cultural gaps among students also call for the setting up of such a dispensation for suitable guidance and support in this age of globalization and competitive placements. Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell deals with issues relating to sexual harassment at the college. It is applicable to all students and faculty. A complaint of discrimination or sexual harassment may be lodged by the victim(s) or a third party.
Complaint may be addressed to HOD, Dean or Principal-DSBA over phone or in person and it will be kept confidential. Appropriate action will be taken immediately. The cell provides security & counselling to those who have undergone mental trauma.

The mission of the cell is to provide holistic services and support to the students, to help them become self- reliant, self-confident and to build life skills through value-based education and service-oriented programs.
In adherence to UGC (Prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students in higher educational institutions) Regulations, 2015 (hereinafter referred to as UGC Regulation) Dayananda Sagar Business Academy (DSBA) constituted Internal Complaints Committee on 03 August 2016 (with reference to MHRD/UGC Notification, New Delhi, the 02 May 2016). Internal Complaints Committee (ICC): The Internal Complaints Committee shall be the primary authority responsible for dealing with and to adjudicate on any complaint / grievance in the nature of sexual harassment and shall function with full autonomy with power to make recommendations and/or to pass punitive orders in accordance with this Regulation.
The ICC will Create awareness about this Regulation, organize training programs or as the case may be, workshops for the officers, functionaries, faculty and students, enable sensitization of the problem through Counselling Committee/Peers among the institution community in general and vulnerable groups in particular who are hesitant to complain.
Sexual Harassment shall be a deemed misconduct of any employee or visitor of the institution and if proved, appropriate punitive action shall be initiated against the perpetrator. Sexual Harassment by any student shall be a deemed violation of disciplinary Rules of the institution and if proved, appropriate punitive action shall be initiated against the perpetrator.
