CIL Training on Communication skills

Program Objective: Recognize different styles of communication and how to improve understanding and build rapport with others; reflect on different methods of communication and decided when each is most suitable; appreciate the role of body language and voice tone in effective communication.

Student Learning Outcome: Developed awareness of appropriate communication strategies; understood the role of communication in personal & professional success.

The trainers of the CIL Session were:

Ms Keerthi Chalakaran has 7+ years of experience in Learning and Development. Her experience and association with people from various domains helps her to effectively manage people and their behavior. She is creative and possesses excellent Inter-personal management skills. Her core competency includes programs on corporate etiquette, Change management, English language Proficiency & Train the Trainer workshops. 

Ms Keerthi is associated for soft skills training Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA), Train the Trainer from National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET).She is also a certified English Language Proficiency trainer from Training Qualification UK (TQUK) and TESOL from College of Birmingham (COB).Certified from ACCENTURE for Communicating to Success, Campus to Corporate and Assertive Communication and Master Design Thinking Trainer from KPMG. Currently, she is pursuing Life coach / Business executive coach (ICF) at ERICKSON. 

Ms Suman CK is working as a HR (Learning & Development) and Soft skills Trainer with Seventh Sense People Development Solutions Pvt Ltd and has two years of experience. Her focus as a Trainer includes Personality development, Resume Building, Dressing and Grooming, Corporate Etiquettes, Group Discussion, Presentation Skills, Email Writing, Team Building and Interview Skills & Interview Questions. Her training experience spans several organizations in Karnataka as well as Andhra Pradesh.

The morning session began with introduction to communication, Verbal and non verbal communication, types of communication and non verbal communication was covered in detail. This was followed by activities related to communication. 

Post lunch, the session continued with some theoretical details about communication. Energizing games were conducted along with listening skill and mime activities to demonstrate the importance of listening skills and non verbal communication. 

The students enjoyed the training session and believed it was going to be useful moving forward and from the session they got very insightful takeaways for their lives!
