On 15th May 2023, our college organised a CIL training session for BBA final year students on the topic “Execution skills”. Prof Sanjeev addressed and briefed us on the topic and Ms Keerthi took over the training session, she started by giving us a brief introduction about herself, she’s a very successful Entrepreneur with multiple businesses and she has worked her way to the top by being hard working, determinant, decisive, with a positive mind set to be able to make it and she very well did. Listening to her own personal story was very much motivating and inspiring.

She asked us multiple questions such as the big ‘Why’, why are we currently doing what we are doing, about life goals, about our future plans, whether we want to pursue MBA or land a job, what our motivation is, how do we plan on getting the work done, do we have what it takes, are we willing to take stand and do the work that needs to be done, further more she spoke about our need to be street smart in order to reach our goals, taking risks, and most importantly staying dedicated and determined in order to be successful much like her.

For the second half of the training session, she split us all into 6 groups and gave each team a topic to present in front of the class, she gave us about an hour and a half to prepare and the remaining time for each team to present the topic given to them in front of the class, for example my team’s topic was the 6 pillars of character and we were 6 in the team so we split the topic which was Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.

After the preparation each team presented the given topics along with the example of a case study if possible and we were asked to pose 3 questions to our guest speaker.

Needless to say this was a very fun filled, learning oriented, informative, group activity which we thoroughly carried out.

We each had a learning and we learned to ask ‘Why’ much often as well as become much more insightful.

This was a very informative session for us students and it clarified our doubts to a great deal and gave us the edge we needed in order to do the work and reach our goals. This session personally helped me gain a lot of insight in order to be better at group work, communication skills, presentation skills, execution skills and much more.
