The event started off by welcoming our beloved Principal, Mrs Veena ma’am, our department head, Prof Sanjeev as well as Prof Roopa ma’am and a short speech given by each of them to motivate the participants.

We gathered all the teams and led them to their respective tables where they were handed placards with their respective IPL team that was assigned to them.

There were a total of 12 teams and 35 members who took part in this competition.

The teams allotted to the contestants were: Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super kings, Lucknow Super Giants, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Rising Pune Super Giants and Deccan Charges.

As per the rules and regulations, players were pooled and sold to the highest bidder. The budget available for each participating team was 100cr. The team formed by bid had to consist a minimum of 3 batsmen, 3 bowlers and 2 all-rounders. The time alloted to bid for each player was 90 seconds. The players were divided into 5 categories which was S, A, B, C and D, with S being the highest point bearing category and so on, and the team which gathered the most number of high point bearing players would win. The teams were highly enthusiastic, apart from this, we held announcements at every short interval to announce the different team’s budget left.

The participants displayed good communication skills along with interpersonal skills. They were also well calculated and detail oriented.

Overall, this competition turned out to be a successful one and every organizer, Faculty and participant enjoyed every bit of it. It helped them learn quite a lot.
