On 13 May 2023, under the aegis of IQAC, Dayananda Sagar Business Academy hosted a one-day offline Faculty Development Programme titled “Leveraging Online Tools for Research and Teaching-Learning Techniques.”
The programme emphasised a range of topics, including online instruments for innovative teaching methods, research methodologies, and pedagogical techniques. The FDP was designed to empower faculty members and provide them with the resources necessary to provide students with a high-quality education.
The objectives of the FDP were as follows:
Program
The program was graced by two eminent and highly qualified and experienced guests, Dr Mohd. Farooq Pash, Assistant Professor, GFGC Kengeri, Gen. Secretary BUTCCM presided over the as guest of honour and Dr Venkatesh KA acted as the resource person for the program and was attended by inhouse faculty members, staff and faculty members and research scholars registered from various institutions.
The event was held in the new auditorium on the DSBA campus and began at 10.30 a.m. The agenda of the program included an inaugural session, a morning session followed by post lunch session, and a concluding session.
Prof. Renuka Babladi, IQAC coordinator started the proceeding for the day by extending a warm welcome to the Dr Venkatesh KA, Dr Farooq Pasha, Principal Dr Veena KN, faculty members, research scholars from other institutions, inhouse faculty members and staff.
Prof. Ramya introduced resource person Dr Venkatesh KA and Prof. Roopa Shree introduced Dr Farooq Pasha to the gathering. Dr Veena KN formally welcomed the esteemed guests with planters.
After formally welcoming the dignitaries, setting the perspective and context of the FDP, Principal Dr Veena KN addressed the gathering highlighting the achievements of DSBA since its inception and academic activities conducted in the current academic year. She also briefed about that the institution’s commitment and dedication in achieving institutions goals and focus on improving and upgrading the quality and knowledge enhancement of not only students but also the faculties and she added that for this reason, DSBA regularly holds faculty development programs, workshops and conferences that aids in faculty augmentation.
Prof Renuka Babladi then invited the Guest of honour Dr Farooq Pasha was invited to address the gathering, wherein he presented his thoughts and insights on the importance of technological adaption of teaching fraternity as teachers are more crucial than ever in this fast-changing digital world.
He added that today's students require innovative instructional methods which educators must use for effective teaching. Internet and digital resources can help teachers create compelling classes for diverse learning styles. Multimedia presentations, instructional software, and virtual simulations enhance learning, and these innovations can improve learning, increase cooperation and global connectedness, tailor instruction, and prepare pupils for the digital future.
He congratulated DSBA for conduction the FDP on Leveraging Online Tools for Research and Teaching-Learning Techniques which is the need of the hour and concluded his talk by extending best wishes to DSBA team.
Dr Veena KN felicitated Dr Farooq with a memento and a planter and thanked him for his gracious presence.

The FDP concluded at 4.30pm with a Vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Nazeer Pasha wherein he thanked the esteemed guests, Participants from others reputed institutions, DSBA faculty and staff members on the success of the FDP.
