Introduction
DSBA library Started in the year 2011 to serve the information needs of faculty and students community of DSBA. It acts as a Centre for the collection of resources predominantly related to all subjects which are in DSBA. It also ensures that information resources are acquired and organized so as to meet the present and future user’s information needs. The main objective of our library is to provide right information to the right users at right time.
The library holds a hybrid collection of printed as well as electronic resources which include books, journals, databases, audio-visuals, CDs/DVDs, e-books, e-journals, course materials, previous year question papers, bound volumes, project reports etc.
Milestones
- Library established in the year 2011
- Library having 1294.4 Sq. Mts Area.
- Dedicated 50 Computer systems are made available in the Digital Library.
- The Library has a collection of over 5781 volumes, 12 national and international journals, with subscription of e-resources.
- Private and Discussion rooms / Private Study Zones are created for R & D work.
- DSBA Library is fully automated using Libsoft (Version 12.0) Software with Web OPAC.

Advisory Committee
College has been striving to equip and strengthen the central library, with library resources and services accessible for users of library. It is decided to set-up a “Library Advisory Committee” which would guide & suggest ideas, plans for the regular functioning & time bound upgradation of the Library. Reference Services
Reference collection consisting of Text books, rare books, Reference books, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Directories, Handbooks, Atlases, & Competitive General books The Reference Section facility is extended to the students, Staff Members and faculty of the Institute.
Periodical Section
DSBA Library subscribed 6 numbers of National and International Journals. Journals are arranged and displayed department wise in the periodical Section.
Book Bank
- SC/ST students and Staff are eligible to use this facility.
- Along with regular books one more additional book will be issued to SC/ST students and staff members.
- SC/ST students and Staff should produce copy of their caste certificate at circulation section.

Video Surveillance
For safety and security purpose 22 numbers of Dome cameras are installed in each section of the Library.
New Arrivals
Newly arrived books and periodicals are display in new arrivals rack for particular period. Also display the list newly arrived documents in notice board as Current Awareness Service (CAS)
Wi-Fi Facility
Wi-Fi Facility is made available in Library block with free registration.
Membership
All the students and Staff Members of DSBA are eligible to become the members of the library. Without the membership registration no documents can be borrowed.
To get the Library membership Staff & Students have to produce:
- One number of passport size photo
- ID CARD(Smart Card)

Digital Library Services
Digital Library is housed in the Lower ground floor of the Library. Digital library is a library in which collections are stored in digital formats and data accessible through the computers by users. The digital content may be stored locally, or accessed remotely via computer networks. A digital library is a type of information retrieval system.

Subscribed E-Resources
Circulation
- Documents are issued to all eligible members as per their entitlements.
- Along with books, CDs, DVDs and educational DVDs are issued at Circulation section.
- Open access system is followed in this library. Users are free to pick any book of their choice.
Fine Collection
After the due date of the document fine will be charged as follows:

- From 1st day to 15th day—Rs.1/- per day
- From 16th day to 30th day—Rs.2/- per day
- From 31st day onwards — Rs.3/- per day
Private Study Zone
Now a day’s more readers prefer to sit and study in this kind of study rooms. In our library this facility is available. There are six rooms available for group discussion and study purpose.

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE LIBRARY
- Users should bring the Smart card compulsorily
- To enter the library users should swipe their Smart card to Access Control Door.
- Leave your bags, handbags and personal belongings at the property counter.
- Users are prohibited to carry any notebook inside the reference section except loose sheets.
- No person shall write on, damage or make any mark on any book, journal or other material belongs to the library.
- Library documents should be handled with great care.
- Strict silence should be maintained.
- Using of cell/mobile phones are prohibited.
- College dress code applies to library also.
- Eatables are not allowed inside the Library.
- All users are requested to produce their ID card to the Library staff, if required.
