Dayananda Sagar Business Academy (DSBA), Udayapura, Bengaluru, successfully hosted “Jātra Utsava”, a vibrant folk festival celebration, on Saturday, 11th November 2025, at its Kanakapura Road campus. The event was organized to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage while providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills.

The programme commenced at 9:00 AM with the arrival of dignitaries, faculty members, and students, followed by a soulful invocation by the student group. The festive atmosphere was set with energetic folk dance performances and a colorful welcome dance, reflecting the richness and diversity of Indian culture.

Adding to the excitement, a dance competition and an engaging fashion show were conducted, where students enthusiastically presented traditional and folk-inspired attire and performances. These events highlighted the creativity, confidence, and cultural awareness of the students and were widely appreciated by the audience.

A special attraction of Jātra Utsava 2025 was the array of student-organized food stalls and stalls showcasing homemade products. Students displayed remarkable entrepreneurial spirit by offering a variety of traditional snacks, regional delicacies, handicrafts, and handmade items. These stalls created a lively fair-like atmosphere and gave students practical exposure to planning, pricing, marketing, and customer interaction.

The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Ramesh Bhat, renowned theatre artist and film and television actor. In his address, he emphasized the importance of preserving folk traditions and encouraged students to remain rooted in cultural values while pursuing academic excellence.

The celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony recognizing winners of the dance competition and fashion show, followed by the rendition of the State Anthem, “Jaya Bharata Jananiya.” The programme ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks, marking the successful and memorable conclusion of Jātra Utsava 2025.
