Outbound Experiential Learning Activity
The Department of Management Studies, Dayananda Sagar Business Academy (DSBA), in association with Eagles Unbound Adventure Park, successfully organized a two-day Outbound Experiential Learning Activity for the MBA 2025–27 batch. The programme was designed to complement classroom learning by providing students with hands-on experiences that foster leadership, teamwork, communication, and personal growth.
In today’s dynamic business environment, organizations seek professionals who possess not only technical knowledge but also essential interpersonal and leadership skills. With this objective, the outbound learning programme created an immersive environment where students faced real-life challenges that encouraged them to think critically, collaborate effectively, and make decisions under pressure.
The activity featured a series of engaging individual and team-based challenges facilitated by experienced trainers from Eagles Unbound Adventure Park. The programme began with ice-breaking and trust-building exercises, helping students build meaningful connections with their peers. As the sessions progressed, participants took part in adventure-based activities that tested their problem-solving abilities, resilience, adaptability, and leadership potential. High rope challenges, team obstacle courses, and collaborative problem-solving tasks encouraged students to step outside their comfort zones while strengthening confidence and mutual trust.
A key highlight of the programme was the structured debriefing conducted after each activity, where facilitators connected students’ experiences with real-world corporate situations such as project management, leadership under pressure, effective communication, resource allocation, conflict resolution, and team dynamics. These reflective discussions enabled students to translate experiential learning into valuable managerial insights.
The outbound experiential learning programme not only strengthened camaraderie among the MBA cohort but also reinforced the importance of collaboration, emotional intelligence, and leadership in achieving organizational success. The initiative reflects DSBA’s commitment to holistic management education by integrating experiential learning with academic excellence, preparing students to become confident, responsible, and industry-ready management professionals.
