As part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the MBA students of Dayananda Sagar Business Academy (DSBA) carried out a comprehensive village survey on 16 March 2026 in Kanminki and Kumbalagodu villages of Bengaluru Rural district.

The field survey was undertaken to collect primary data on household demographics, socio-economic conditions, sanitation and hygiene, waste management practices, access to basic amenities, and the key challenges faced by the local community. Through direct interaction with village residents, the students gained valuable insights into rural livelihoods and community needs while developing practical research and data collection skills.

The survey forms the foundation of the broader UBA village development project, enabling students and faculty to identify local issues and propose evidence-based, sustainable developmental interventions. The activity also provided students with an opportunity to apply classroom concepts in a real-world setting, fostering experiential learning, teamwork, social responsibility, and community engagement.

By actively participating in this outreach initiative, DSBA continues to strengthen its commitment to nation-building through education, empowering students to contribute meaningfully to rural development and inclusive growth.
