Global Captivation Programme-15

The second year MBA students were taken to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysiaon a Global Captivation Program from the 10thof August’15 to the 14thof August’15

The objectives of this program were to know more about the Malaysian Economy, to understand the system of imparting education at Sunway University, to get an insight into Malaysian Tourism, to be exposed to the cultural diversity in Malaysia and to know about some industries in Malaysia.

Sunway University one of Malaysia’s leading and recognised institution of higher learning played a wonderful host to the MBA students and they were introduced to the business learning experience ‘Sunway’ way. Sunway University is a true melting pot of different races and religions that celebrates cultural diversity. Students went around the Sunway Resort city, a township neatly tucked within the city. Mr Samer Helmy a senior executive, trainer and consultant at Sunway University gave a presentation on leadership which covered the strategic leadership, basic types of leaders, and the various strategic leadership approaches.

Industry visits were also part of the schedule. The students visited Pewter Factory, Batik Factory, High-5 Bread Factory, and Coco Boutique.

They also visited all the alluring locations and attractions which included the PETRONAS Twin Towers, KL Tower, Batu caves, Thean Hou Temple, Istana Negara and National Monument. Genting Highlands and Snow World was also part of the visit.
