Placements Training at DSBA

 CIL [Centre for Innovation & Leadership] training program on placement was conducted on 19^th July for Final Year BBA & BCA students and on 20th July 2017 for the students of Final Year BCom by Mr. Deepshik Sekhar in the 4^th Floor Management Block. Mr Sekhar has been working for IBM since one and half a years.

  
The Session began at 10:00 AM with students filling therésumé form given by the trainer. The students were then briefed about the activities that would be conducted during the day which were as follows: Creating Résumé followed by mock group discussion and mock personal interview. 

Instructions were first given on the manner in which therésumé has to be made; and after that a group of twelve students were selected for mock group discussion. The topic given was 'Live-in relationship'. The discussion went on from 11:30 am to 12:50 pm .The trainer monitored the discussion and in the end educated the students on the parameters used for evaluation in group discussion and also advised the students about the do’s and don’ts of GD.

The students were then asked to assemble in the same classroom at 1:45 PM for mock personal interview. Each and every student was grilled in the mock interview and the interviewer was Mr.Deepshik himself. This took the whole afternoon but it was really helpful as the students did get a fair idea about the way the interview process takes place. Mr Sekhar then provided constructive feedback on all aspects of the interview process.

The icing on the cake –During the process of personal mock interview, M Lasya Priya, a student of V Sem BCom got placed in Seventh Sense Talent Solutions as a trainee with a whooping amount of Rs 3.45 lakhs per annum.

The Session ended with a group photograph at 4:30 PM with student feedback.
