Report on KPMG Seminar

On 3^rd March 2018, KPMG at Maruthi InfoTech, Koramangala, Bangalore had organized a seminar on Business Analytics and the certificate courses being offered by them from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Professionals from the business organizations and educational institutions were present for the seminar, wherein; Business Analytics was majorly discussed. The first session was taken by Mr. Devender Malhotra -VP and Chief Quality Officer, Wipro who spoke about what analytics is all about and how it would impact any business.

The second session was conducted by Mr. Subramanian M S, Head of Analytics at Big Basket who shared his experiences on how analytics has been a game changer and he also apprised us about the skills sets that are expected from graduates.

In the final session, the panel members Dr. Srinivas Rao, Dr. Anshuman Gosh, Dr. Hariprasad Reddy shared their experiences. Mr. Shankar, Executive Director, KPMG was the most interactive and led the perfect discussion.

As a part of learning we were exposed to the reality of how things function in a company, most importantly we learnt that in the real world the graduates must possess skills such as critical and emotional thinking, empathy, and being proactive.
