Onam at DSBA with prayers for Kerala

Onam at DSBA is a celebration of brotherhood, bonhomie that crosses all caste barriers. However, this Onam Day on 25 August ’18, students, teaching and non -teaching staff of DSBA symbolically observed the day with no elaborate celebrations!

The dress code was Kerala saree /cream coloured salwar suit for girls and shirt and dhoti / kurta pyjama for boys.

Pookalam-floral Rangoli -adorned the porch of DSBA and it was made meticulously by II Year BCom students. A traditional lamp was lit by Dr Veena-Dean, DSBA; Prof Nikitha-HOD; Prof Arun, an ex-faculty of the institution and the students from II-year BCom. Dr [Brig] Sandes-Principal, DSBA and staff were also present on this sombre occasion. While the lamp was lit, each one prayed to the almighty and expressed their solidarity with their brethren at Kerala.
