NCC Cadets get training to improve Firing Skills

       

Firing is one of the important training activities of NCC, shooting discipline enjoys special place in NCC sporting activities.

Under the auspices of 2KAR NCC Bn, chaired by Col Varun Luthra-Commanding Officer, JCO and PT staff, NCC cadets from DSBA received training in firing on 2nd and 3rd April 2019 at Madras Engineering Group Centre [MEG] Ulsoor. Over 150 cadets from across the city participated. Prof Nagaraju, Associated NCC Officer coordinated the event.

30 cadets from DSBA participated in the weapon training activity; wherein, they were taught the essentials of good shooting, characteristics of good lying position, drill for loading and unloading in lying position, laws of aiming, trigger control, firing a shot, sequence of action while firing a shot, grouping capacity, safety precautions etc.

         

At the end of the two-day training, 15 DSBA cadets excelled in the firing grouping!

The cadets have been training to improve their firing skills to participate in the Mavalankar Shooting Championship 2019.
