International Yoga Day 2019

The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practising yoga. The benefits include- Increased muscle strength and tone, Increased flexibility, Improved respiration, energy and vitality, Maintaining a balanced metabolism, Weight reduction, Cardio and circulatory health and Improved athletic performance.             

  The 5th International Yoga Day was held at the Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw Parade Ground on 21st June’19 and the event was coordinated under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters ‘B’ Bengaluru.  Air Commodore Lalit Kumar Jain, Deputy Director General of Karnataka & Goa Directorate, Bengaluru was the Chief Guest. More than 500 officers and 2500 NCC Cadets took part in Yoga Sessions.

                                

Prof Nagaraju, Associate NCC Officer and cadets from DSBA were also part of the mega Yoga Day event. The entire mind body workout through various asanas, stretching poses along with deep breathing techniques-the pranayama helped relax the mind and body.
