Swachchata Seva Abhiyaan by NCC Cadets

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a massive mass movement that seeks to create a Clean India.NCC wing of DSBA under the aegis of 2 KAR Battalion National Cadet Corps conducted Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan mega rally, tree plantation and temple cleaning at OB Chudanahalli village on 27^th Nov 2019. The event was initiated by Lt M G Nagaraju, ANO-DSBA.

37 NCC cadets, DSBA faculty and 55 Government school children were part of the cleanliness drive.

The event began at 10:30 am with cleaning of the temple premises. After the area was cleaned, Dr [Brig] Sandes, Principal-DSBA inaugurated the event with plantation of tree saplings along with JCO Ramchander from 2 Karnataka Bn NCC.OB Chudanahalli Gram Panchayat was also actively involved in the event.50 saplings were planted in the temple surroundings by the cadets and faculty.

The cadets and the school children went in a procession along the stretch of Kanakapura road adjoining the village, interacted and sensitized the general public till 1:30 pm on adoption of cleanliness and personal hygiene.

The successful event came to a close with distribution of chocolates to school children and presentation of gifts to the Government school Headmaster and JCO of 2 Kar Bn NCC.
