CIL Training Program was conducted by Ms. Padmini Bhasin and Mr. Somiron mitra for the period of 3 days from 8th June 2021 to 10th June 2021 on the online zoom platform for all the final year students of BBA and B.Com of Dayananda Sagar Business Academy. 

On 8th June 2021, The session was conducted by Ms. Padmini Bhasin on the importance of Personal branding, LinkedIn and time management.

She started over the session by introducing us to the concept of personal importance of personal branding, how the personal branding helps the recruiters choose the individuals with additional skills and how to build a good brand personality.

In the mid session she spoke about linkedIn. She stated out the importance of being active on LinkedIn and how useful LinkedIn is for the individuals to gain knowledge on various topics and how it helps the recruiters to shortlist the prospective candidate for their company. She mentioned about how an individuals LinkedIn profile should look that attracts the recruiters by having a professional photo,  a picture taken In a deacent place/ background (not necessarily a photoshoot), and a decent cover photo. She stated about the importance of staying active, follow and connect with people of similar interests and how often we have to keep our profile updated.


In the last part of the session, she spoke about the importance of time management. By Prioritising important work, shceduling all the work according to its importance and urgency, working on similar tasks together, time management helps in organising and distributing the time between activities, which results in maximizing and enhancing the productivity and achieving the goals on time effectively and efficiently. She concluded the session with a question and answer round. 

Mr. Somiron Mitra handled the training session for the period of 2 days  on 9th June 2021 and 10th June 2021 on email etiquette, corporate readiness, Interview questions, voice modulation and body language. 

On day 1 Mr. Somiron Mitra started the session by conducting a demo Interview of students and by correcting them how an interview is conducted online and the ways to present themselves for the video interview like dress code, tone of voice, placement of the camera, the amount of light exposure on the face and a place suitable to give the interview. 

In the 2nd half of the session on day 1, he trained the students on Email etiquettes. He guided the students how to write a professional email, how to be polite on email by not using capital letters as it implies that the writer is shouting at the receiver, not to assume privacy, avoid offensive comments, keeping the mails brief, always make sure to edit the emails by sending it to the receiver. He suggested the students to use a proper email ID that is professional and mentioned a few other Dos and donts. 

On day 2, Mr. Simiron Mitra conducted the session on Voice modulation and body language. He briefed the students about how the voice, tone and pitch of a person should be while attending an interview. He spoke about the importance of the body language and how to present oneself during the video interview.


In the 2nd half of the session he conducted a quiz on body language, interview, voice modulation and general knowledge among the students on the kuhoot website – kuhoot.in . Many students participated with great enthusiasm in the quiz and made the session interesting. He concluded the session by conducting a question and answer round where he clarified doubts of the students and the students feedback.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The main motive of the session was to train the students for their placements. The session conducted for 3 days included all the necessary points and involved active participation from the students. The 3 day pre-placement training program has given the students the idea of the do’s and dont’s and how to prepare themselves for the interview.
