Centre for Career Progression and IQAC of Dayananda Sagar Business Academy in association with the Department of Trainings and Placements had organized an online session on Career Opportunities in Public Sector for the 6th-semester students of BBA, B.Com and BCA on 19th June 2021 at 12 noon. The session was conducted by SSB Academy on the Zoom Platform.
Mr. Sukrut Bhushan, head of sales and business development at SSB Edu Pvt Ltd conducted the session in the best way that could help us. To grab our attention the speaker questioned why we were pursuing our graduation and why we need a job. The students gave out a few answers, analyzing which he approximated the earnings required to satisfy all the listed needs. He also compared a few careers based on how much we can rely on them to fulfil our needs. Then he talked about the job market in India and differentiated the public sector jobs from the private sector using the statistical data. Then he presented the advantages of being employed in the public sector over the other sectors.
He listed out various exams which we can prepare for getting a job in the BFSI sector. He explained the employment opportunities, exams, notifications, qualifications required, job details, vacancies, and other aspects in detail. He also talked about other public sector exams for which we can prepare.
He then discussed the syllabus of the exams and the marks allotted for each subject namely logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English language and general awareness. He also informed us about the minimum score required for us to clear the exam. To prepare for these exams, he offered a 4-month course of four subjects for Rs. 2999 against the actual price of Rs. 8500 for the students of Dayananda Sagar Business Academy. We are grateful to our college for organizing a very informative session which will help us decide upon our career.
