COVID-19 MEGA VACCINATION DRIVE

 In this unprecedented time the importance of vaccination cannot be stressed enough. As a result, Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka and Kaggalipura Health Centre assisted to organize Corona vaccination Drive.

Under the leadership of Dayananda Sagar Business Academy, Kanakapura Main Road, Udayapura, with the support of the Local Secretary Mr. S T Somashekar the Vaccination Drive was conducted on 28th June 2021(Monday) at 10:30 am in the college premises for students teaching and non-teaching staff. More than 400 students, Faculties, Non-Teaching Staff were administered for vaccine to prevent Covid-19.

The vaccination drive was given a auspicious start by the chief guest Doctor Sirajuddin Madani the head of Karnataka Government, Regional Community Health Centre took the initiative for the vaccination. While addressing the gathering he imbibed confidence in the listening public about the unnecessary anxiety and fear regarding the covid vaccines. He also explained how do vaccines play a major role in saving lives of the people against Covid-19 Dr sangamaner, Dr Radha, Dr Shobha and other regional health administrative officers also participated in the campaign. After which students were asked to follow certain steps for taking vaccination. The vaccination took place in three stages. First the students had to get their swab test and in the next stage they were to register in Cowin Portal in order to proceed for taking vaccine and after they register, they proceed for the vaccination.

NCC Cadets helped and assisted everyone during the process with constant guidance and support from our ANO Lt M.G Nagaraju. We conducted the drive up until 4:30 PM and we successfully vaccinated close to 300 Students, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff.

The vaccination drive was a great success which even received media recognition and appreciation the very next day. NCC cadets have once again stood up to the challenge and successfully completed the bestowed work.
