LEARNINGS FROM DAY 1-3
We started off with attending interviews to observe the areas we were lacking on. Mr. Ismail gave us a brief about the appropriate language to be used. We were made to work in groups out of our comfort zone to facilitate learning. We were asked to present the common fears faced by both the candidate attending interview and the recruiter which made us realize the scope of improvement and areas to work on. This activity was mainly beneficial to kick off the stage fear we had. Mr. Ismail always wanted us to present on the stage though we were hesitant ,but that step of his was very helpful to make us more confident while we are on the stage facing the crowd. By this at the end of the third day we were not scared anymore to speak up in front of the class.
He taught us that while we are in an interview it is just 7% of how your vocabulary and communication is whereas 93% is the body language and how presentable you are. We also had some fun activities that demonstrated team work and the ability to convince others about the solution you have for a given problem.
We also had discussions about various job roles and their responsibilities along with the skills that were required for the same. We were made to build our resume in the way required by the corporate and also discovered the best suited role for us by taking a personality test along with having a check on our field of interests. The session was interactive and engaging.
We were given to try out JAM sessions also (Just a minute) wherein we were given topics on spot and had to speak on it for a minute. For effectively talking regarding the same Mr. Ismail taught to frame a mind-map for the same. Also we were taught that the maximum vocabulary count (i.e the number of words spoken) in a minute shall not be more than 80-90 words.
We concluded this session with again taking up the interview to have a check on our improvement and this time we all were doing a lot better compared to the first day. We implemented all that was taught from day 1 and most of us were able to perform perfect as required by the corporate.
It was indeed a fun and interactive session as Mr. Ismail made sure he corrected every small mistake we were making and pushed us everyday to perform better. He also showed us some motivational videos and encouraged us a lot. The session was very helpful as we now know how to build our resume , how to tackle tough questions asked by the interviewer, how to build up confidence and a lot more things which will definitely make us ace our further interview with flying colors.

LEARNINGS FROM DAY 4 & 5
We started off with a fun game of introducing our friends and their future goals in the BFSI sector. Mr. Shriram gave us a brief about the classification of the banking sector and the various job opportunities along with an introduction to the money market and capital market. He later on explained us the various job roles and the actual working of the various departments in a banking sector. We were also taught about the various types of loans (i.e secured and unsecured) and the classification of those.
We also had a worksheet to do on the first day based on our understanding regarding the BFSI sector and their working before the session started off. Later on we discussed various roles and responsibilities of an investment banker, financial analyst, compliance officer, etc. Then came the discussion of mutual funds and the classification under the same. Mr. Shriram further went with the discussion regarding the derivative market where usually the securities are traded in lots along with a brief of the call option and the put option.
Lastly was our discussion on the NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Companies), their advantages, disadvantages, roles and responsibilities, etc. The same worksheet was given to us in the last wherein we were able to answer them with a detailed explanation and was more specific in answering them. Not only quantitative aptitude is useful for us in competitive exams but also to get into higher studies in top colleges and the aptitude test conducted by companies for recruiting freshers.
TOPICS LEARNT -
Basically, the trainer had his unique ways to teach us because we shall lack time in competitive exams, we were taught to solve fast. He made sure we focus on our basics. Also, the program could have been a little slow as we felt we were stuffed with a lot of information in our head in one day.
