One Day Excursion

The literary club of the college had organized an excursion on the 25th of June for second and final year students. There were around 65 students in total. We first visited the Melkote temple in Melkote, Pandavapura taluk of Mandya district. After climbing the hill, we sought the blessings of Lord Narasimha in the famous temple. We then went to the big temple pond and appreciated the historical site. Later we went to Dhanushkoti, another historical place that traces back to Ramayana; We then had lunch and enjoyed the beautiful view of the hills around. We reached Srirangapatna and visited the Tipu Fort where the guide explained the history of the king and the place. We went to Sangama too (the place where 3 rivers meet). We then stopped for refreshments and returned to college at night. The students thoroughly cherished the journey, places and the day as a whole!
