On 28th July 2022, our college had organised a state level inter college fest by the name of “SAGARA TARANGA 2022”, in our campus and many events took place and many colleges took part in the same.

We conducted 2 marketing events, one of them being “ NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH” and the other being “ MAD ADS”. There were 2 teams that took part in New product launch and they both were briefed about the event. They were three rounds for this event, the first one was “ Personal branding of the teams” for which they were given 3 minutes. The second round was “ What’s the big idea” for which they were given 4 minutes to talk about the idea and 2 minutes for Q/A directed by the judges and their last round was “ The big Marketing plan” for which they were given 12 minutes to showcase their entire marketing plan and 3 minutes for Q/A directed by the judges. Both the teams came up with some great and amazing ideas and products.

For the second event which was “MAD ADS”, there were 5 teams that took part and there were 2 rounds for this event. In the first round we had provided each team with an industry for which they had to develop an ad, for this they were given 3 minutes for context setting and idea generation, 1 minute of the presentation of the ad and 2 minutes for Q/A directed by the judges towards them. All the 5 teams were given 5 different industries, and they all managed to come up with humorous and amazing ideas which we all really had a great time. The second round would be taking place on 29th July which is “ the brand revival round” in which they were all given 5 different companies that have failed and they need to come up with ways to revive the same and do something different with it. They will be given 5 minutes for context setting, 1 minute for the presentation of the ad and 3 minutes for Q/A directed by the judges towards them. We will know more about this round on the upcoming day.

The 5 teams will be performing for the topics given on the upcoming day.

It was a very innovative and educational event with a hint of humour and mad angle. We were honoured to have Dr Muralidhar Reddy as our external judge and we were very happy that he could make time for this event. And we also thank Prof Sanjeev for being our internal judge and giving his inputs to the teams. It was really helpful

Furthermore we will have more of our events on 29th July 2022.

On 29th July 2022, our college Dayanand Sagar Business Academy continued with the second day of our Fest “SAGARA TARANGA 2022”.

We again witnessed large number of participants and lots of activities took place.

For the marketing events we continued on with the 2nd round of MAD ADS, for which the previous 5 teams were given topics on the previous day and they were asked to prepare based on the topic they’ve received. All the 5 teams were given 5 different companies that have failed to become successful and it was a brand revival round in which they had to come up with ways and ideas to revive the company and be innovative. The second round was as follows, they were given 1 minute to showcase their ad to the judges and then were given 5 minutes to explain the context and ideology behind their ads. After they were done with their presentation they were given 2-3 minutes for Q/A directed by the judges towards their teams.

It was a very successful event and we had an experience like no other. We learned a lot, to say the truth it was an event where education was imparted as well as fun. It was a great end to our marketing events.
