Finance Orientation

On November 7th finance club of Dayananda Sagar Business Academy organized an orientation on Finance.

Welcome speech was presented by Lakshmi S. In the presence of Prof. Sanjeev the HOD of the BBA Department and our class co-ordinator Prof. Sudeep Shetty Sir was part of the finance orientation.

It was a pleasure and honour to welcome our resource person Dr. Praveen Kumar Sinha for the session.

Dr. Praveen Kumar Sinha is an Associate Professor in the department of management studies, DSATM. He completed his Ph.D. from BSMED, Bharathiar University Coimbatore in 2018. He is having 14 years of academic work experience and published more than 10 research papers in various refereed journals. He is currently nominated in the VTU board of examiners management studies panel, for the academic year 2021-22.

Conducted a seminar on SPSS data analysis and experiential learning for the faculty members.

I was much more knowledgeable from the orientation. Most of us were not know about the additional certificates like SPSS, and schemes provided by the government for the students like APY( Atal Pension Yojana) where the entry age for the scheme starts from 18-40 discussed in orientation. After the BBA what kinds of jobs or placements will be given to BBA finance students were discussed by Dr. Praveen Sinha.

In the end, the Vote of thanks was given by Panchal Yash from 5th semester BBA was thankful for sharing the knowledge with the students which was beneficial to all students in the orientation.
